Ideas in progress

Built to explore.

Tools and experiments that test an idea, solve a specific problem or open up a new possibility.

These project notes come from the current website. Plans describe ambitions, not necessarily completed features.

Project note / 01

Building LaKriFa Lab with Cloudflare Pages

Building LaKriFa Lab as a static website with Cloudflare Pages and Eleventy is an ongoing project in its own right.
The aim is to create a lightweight, mobile-friendly website that:

  • Is easy to update from home, using the terminal and Git
  • Uses Cloudflare Pages for fast publishing without managing servers
  • Explores database-like structures using folders and Markdown
  • May eventually support larger video files through Cloudflare R2

The project continues to evolve as needs grow.

Project note / 02

Thumbnails and a lightbox

I am working on a way to open larger images in a simple lightbox by clicking small thumbnails.
The goals are:

  • Fast-loading galleries
  • A good experience on mobile and desktop
  • Minimal extra code: just lightweight JavaScript and CSS

This is already used on the AI image page and is being developed for other parts of the website too.

Project note / 03

Cloudflare Workers + KV (earlier project)

A project exploring dynamic content using Cloudflare Workers and KV storage.
Content could be retrieved and updated through the terminal using cURL.
Although useful to explore, the system became too complex in practice, so I switched to static websites on Cloudflare Pages.

Project note / 04

Mac cleanup and security

An ongoing project creating Bash scripts to understand and control what runs on my Mac.

The scripts scan folders such as ~/Library/LaunchAgents, System/Library/LaunchDaemons, and other startup locations to identify unknown or suspicious .plist files.

Future plans include:

  • ๐Ÿ“‹ Automatic logging of findings
  • ๐ŸŒ Automatic file information searches (Google or VirusTotal)
  • ๐Ÿšซ Quarantining suspicious files
  • ๐Ÿงผ Quick Clean / Deep Clean features
  • ๐Ÿ’ป A simple graphical user interface (GUI)

I am also considering a similar solution for Windows using PowerShell.

Project note / 05

Network scanner

A tool I am developing to get a better overview of devices on my home network.
The aim is to:

  • See which devices are connected
  • Discover open ports
  • Identify unknown devices or actors

The tool is currently being built for the terminal with logging, with a simpler GUI or web interface planned for later.

Project note / 06

PDF tools

A small AI-based system that takes a title and a question and produces a finished PDF with generated content.
Built using Python and ChatGPT, with the aim of quickly generating small products with little manual work.

Project note / 07

Text in AI images

An experiment in getting AI models to place text accurately in images โ€” for example on signs, behind objects or naturally integrated into the foreground.

At the time of the original notes, this was difficult with AI tools, so I combined AI generation with manual Photoshop adjustments when needed.

The goal is an efficient workflow that produces high-quality visual results.
